Djrum has classical training in the jazz tradition and draws influence from Keith Jarrett and Alice Coltrane. He used to shy away from the idea of listeners hearing him play the piano, but determined to overcome this fear, he has brought a new honesty to his work. Felix\u2019s goal was to create something \u201coverwhelmingly beautiful,\u201d but also to capture \u201cthe melancholy inherent in beauty in all its impermanence and fragility\". The artist Marina Abramovi\u0107 served as inspiration and comfort."}
